    Dear Friend,

    As newly elected, and, in the case of one of us, re-elected members of the Ewing Township
    council, we’d like to express our gratitude to the people of Ewing for their tremendous support
    and confidence in our abilities.  The trust you have put in us with your vote is not taken
    lightly.  We pledge to do our very best for Ewing.  You deserve our time, attention and diligence
    in steering Ewing forward.

    This is an exciting time for our town.  Ewing is at a crucial juncture in its history.  With the old
    GM and Naval sites, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the face of the
    township, spur significant economic growth, and really put Ewing on the map as a destination.  
    We welcome the opportunity to work with our fellow Council members and Mayor Bert
    Steinmann in that task.  We believe that Ewing is the destination in Mercer County, if not New
    Jersey, for families, businesses and young professionals as we enter the 21st century.  

    Furthermore, as opportunities and challenges arise in the coming years, we pledge to use
    reasoned judgment, the many resources within the township as well as the expertise of its
    people, to steer us forward.  In determining our course, we’ll be independent thinkers and will
    carefully weigh all options with the input of the Ewing community.

    Once again, we thank everyone for their support.  We look forward to serving you over the
    coming weeks and months as your Councilpersons.
